Big and tall mens clothing sizes used to be identified only as XXXL/XXXXL a long time ago. If you’re out shopping, and happen to be just an XL guy, then you’ll be considered a Big and Tall guy. Well, what has been happening is clothes are being made for smaller people, so the sizes on the labels are normally smaller than they used to be. While women are very much aware of this, because its been a common practice with women’s clothes, it is something new for men’s clothing. One result you may already be seeing is more clothing stores stocking big and tall mens clothes. If you keep reading you’ll find out how to find the clothes you like and maybe some great deals, too.

First thing you’ll do is make phone calls to stores as opposed to driving everywhere to just stop in and find out – unless you like doing that. You can call, ask for the men’s clothing department, and ask if they carry your size. It’s probably best to be specific and ask for the size you usually wear. They won’t want to run all over the place, so rather than ask about particular items, maybe just ask if they have your size. Just doing this alone will save you hours and a lot of gas, and probably aggravation, from driving all over town looking for what you need. It seems very many adults are not particulary fond of going to the mall, but sometimes this may be worth it – especially if you’re looking for more formal clothes. A mall will have a number of different clothing stores, but you can still save time and call them, too. Obviously, a mall will afford you more options than you will get with an independent store located elsewhere. You’ll find that clothes that are not selling fast often go onto the sales racks, and that includes clothes that are unusual sizes. This can work in your favor because the regular sizes usually sell at a normal pace, but the very small or very large sizes do not. So you see, sometimes having a size that is not the norm can sometimes save you money. So you really shouldn’t have a hard time finding big and tall mens stores and sizes. It’s doubtful that you’ll be forever using a specialty type shop to find the size you need. And with the vanity sizing, you may find yourself not a part of that size category, anymore. Another thing that has changed is some previously ‘normal’ sizes are now called, big and tall – so stores are more likely to have your size, too. A lot of stores are getting on board with variety, so you really shouldn’t have a hard time finding clothes you like that fit right.
